The all new Campbell Hausfeld Get Stuff Done 1/2 in. Air Impact Wrench, Twin Hammer, Variable Speed (XT002000) Review

The all new Campbell Hausfeld Get Stuff Done (GSD)1/2 in. Air Impact Wrench, Twin Hammer, Variable Speed (XT002000)

Campbell Hausfeld just released some of the newest tools from their Get Stuff Done (GSD) lineup, and they are extremely tough.

Though Campbell Hausfeld is most commonly known for their top of the line air compressors also have pneumatic tools meet the high quality standards of many pros in the field. We have tried the new GSD drill and sander and love them, but the most impressive piece out of the Get Stuff Done line is by far the new ½” (GSD) twin hammer Impact Wrench.

Now let me just say that I have used many, many, many Impact Wrenches in my life.  As for a pneumatic Impact, this is by far the heaviest duty, well built, powerful and comfortable Impact wrench that I have ever used.

Nearly the entire wrench is covered in a heavy grade poly rubber type material that offers great grip when in the hands. The material also protects the wrench from heavy abusive use, and reduces the vibration sent to the hand when in use. The only area on the outer casing that is not covered with this rubber material is the anvil area. This area is actually stamped metal, and holds up great on the job.

As for speed adjustment, there are four (4) total. (1) Reverse and (3) forward. (See specs below)
·         Working Torque 400 ft. lbs.
·         Max Torque 750 ft. lbs.
·         BPM of 1,200
·         RPM of 8,500
·         IMP 1,200
·         Weight 5.2 lbs
·         ¼” NPT Air Inlet Size

Now the wrench does feel a bit heavy 5.2 lbs., but it’s actually well balanced in the hands. The trigger is extremely easy to pull, and the vibration is barely noticeable.

So how many PSI do you need to run this beast? Well, the recommendation for the wrench is 90psi with at least an (8) gallon tank, but we wer able to run this at 90psi with a (4) gallon tank without issue. If you are planning to work for Nascar or a shop/business I would definitely recommend a larger tank. If you are just using this around the house to change a tire, a smaller compressor is fine as long as it meets the 90psi requirements.

With that being said, I was blown away with how powerful the new Campbell Hausfeld Get Stuff Done 1/2” Impact Wrench really was. It’s definitely pro grad wrench, and will hold up to just about any environment you can throw at it.
