The All New RIDGID GEN5X 18 Volt (Battery Charging) Job Site Radio () Is Finally Here, And It Will Charge All Of Your RIDGID 18V Batteries! Check Out Our Review Here!

RIDGID 18V Portable Charging Radio R84085

COMING TO STORES SOON!

RIDGID just made many in the Team RIDID universe very happy today with the release of their all new GEN5X job site (Charging) portable radio with Bluetooth capabilities. We have been waiting a long, long time for this, but now the myth is a reality.

Though the Bluetooth app has been around since the release of their last GEN5X radio, RIDGID finally added battery charging capabilities on this model. Although all RIDGID radios of the past offered Aux and phone charging applications, this is the first to offer the much anticipated 18 Volt Battery capabilities.

As for the app, it can be downloaded right from your app store, and is extremely easy to use. Every function that this radio has to offer can be controlled right from the app itself. You will have no issues streaming your phone to this radio from about 25’, but any more the signal starts to break up.
The base/treble can also be adjusted to your liking. We found no issues at all with static or choppy
sound as everything came in crisp and clear.

The build of this radio is also very heavy duty. It’s almost the exact same design as the last GEN5 radio, but this has a nice metallic looking face plate, and has a batter charging indicator light, and also has a built in defective battery light that will flash red if there is something wrong with your battery.

As for the battery charging, it’s really quick. I will charge a fully drained 18V battery just as fast as a stand-alone charging unit. This was very impressive as we were not expecting that quick of a charge time on this radio. On the other hand, the phone charger is not as fast, and will only charge your phone battery as fast as a car charger would.

All in all, this radio is a must have for any RIDGID Fan Boy that is looking for a new jobsite radio. We were extremely impressed with how well everything worked, sounded and how fast the battery charged on this bad boy. Not to mention the RIDGID app is also a great feature to have.
