We have reviewed a lot of different job boxes on the TRZ
sites, but the Husky 37” box is a bit different from the others.
Most of the boxes we reviewed are stand up, pack and stack
sort of boxes. Those are nice and all, but if you need to get something from let’s
say, the middle bin, the boxes stacked on top need to be removed. That’s what
sets this utility box apart from all the others.
The Husky Box is a large box that holds up to 50 gallons.
Considering one (1) gallon of water is 8.34 lbs., that’s 417 lbs. that this box
can handle. Not to mention that the depth/height of this box is 23”. Add all
that up, and that’s a lot of tool mobility. Speaking of mobility, it’s super
easy to get this job
box around the site. There are two (2) 8” all terrain wheels
that help this box go over grass, dirt, concrete and anything else with ease.
It also has a telescoping handle that pulls out from the top with an 11.75” reach.
That being said, the only issue I found with this entire tool box was with the
handle. It works great when you are pulling it, but there is no locking
mechanism on the handle, so when you push the box, it want to collapse the
handle.
As for protection against the elements, there is no way rain
is getting to those tools. It has a water tight seal around the inside of the
lid, and the top lid extends over the front of the main box, so it acts like a
roof. Another thing I was impressed with was the security of the box. It has to
very heavy duty latches that can be locked, but you can also add locks to the
lid itself as it has pre-drilled holes which allow you to place locks in them
as well. Not to mention, it comes with its own set of keys that will lock the
built in key-lock, and it’s a thick plastic, so it will definitely take a
beating before someone can get into it.
All in all, you really get a lot for what you pay for this.
At the time that this review is written, the price is at $49.00. That really
great for everything you get with this, and I definitely recommend it!
