Recall & Safety Notice: M18 FUEL™ Top Handle Chainsaw
Heads up, everyone — if you own Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL™ Top Handle Chainsaw, this is one you’ll want to pay attention to. Milwaukee Tool, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has announced a voluntary recall for certain M18 FUEL™ 12” and 14” Top Handle Chainsaws (Category Number 2826-20) due to a potential chain brake issue.
On some saws (units with the fourth character of the serial number “A”), the chain brake may not stop the chain from moving when engaged. If the brake fails, the chain could continue rotating, posing a serious laceration risk to the operator.

Ryobi Just Dropped a New Outdoor Lineup—And the Flagship Mower is a Beast!
If you follow power tools like I do, you know Ryobi is constantly innovating, but their latest launch has the community buzzing! Ryobi recently announced a whole new batch of 40V and 18V outdoor power equipment for 2025, just after releasing a new flagship mower earlier this spring. This new line signals a serious commitment to bringing gas-level performance to the battery platform.
This is a comprehensive update to their 40V HP Brushless line, focusing on bringing true gas-replacement power, longer runtimes, and smart technology to make yard work much easier. For those in the battery ecosystem or looking to make the jump, here is a full breakdown of the new tools.

First Look: The New String Trimmers
Ryobi beefed up their string trimmer offerings, giving options for the casual homeowner in the 18V system and the serious property maintainer in the 40V line. Both feature the quiet WHISPER SERIES™ technology, which represents the "best of the best" when it comes to Ryobi's outdoor tools.
1. The 18V Starter: Great for DIY
RYOBI™ 18V ONE+ HP Brushless 15" Attachment Capable String Trimmer
Power Claim: Delivers more power than a 21cc gas string trimmer, positioning it as a true gas replacement.

Quiet Operation: Part of the WHISPER SERIES™, engineered to be 89% quieter than gas.
Versatility: It is part of the EXPAND-IT™ system, allowing you to switch out attachments like edgers and hedge trimmers.

2. The 40V Flagship: Lag-Free Power
RYOBI™ 40V HP Brushless 17" Attachment Capable String Trimmer

Runtime: Approximately 45 minutes of run time using the 40V 4Ah battery (on low).
Quiet Operation: WHISPER SERIES™, engineered to be 86% quieter than gas.
Key Performance: Reaches full throttle in under 1 second, eliminating the lag that previous Ryobi tools were known for.
Features: It features two speeds (low and high) and a three-in-one bump feed head that allows you to change between bump feed, bladed, and fixed lines.
Charging: The included fast charger can charge the 4Ah battery in less than 60 minutes.
Pricing:$189 (Tool Only) or $229 (Kit with 4Ah battery and charger).
Taking the Lawn: The New 40V Mower Lineup
The video outlines several new 40V mowers, but stresses the importance of understanding Ryobi's hierarchy: the highest-end mowers feature the WHISPER SERIES branding, even above the High-Performance (HP) branding.
Lower-Tier Mowers
40V Brushless 20-inch Push Mower: A simple, non-self-propelled option. More power than a 150cc gas mower. Up to 50 minutes of run time. Good for up to a half an acre. Single-point height adjustment (1 inch to 4 inches). $279 (Tool Only) or $359 (Kit with 40V 6Ah battery).
40V HP Brushless 21-inch Push Mower Multi-Blade Mower: Introduces the multi-blade system (or CrossCut) for improved mulching and performance in thicker, wet grass. Uses a dual battery system (two 40V 6Ah batteries) for longer run time. $699 (Kit, includes two 40V 6Ah batteries).
The Flagship: 40V HP Brushless 21" Self-Propelled All-Wheel Drive Multi-Blade Mower
This is the top-of-the-line mower for the 2025 lineup and is the new best-in-class for Ryobi.
Key Upgrade: All-Wheel Drive (AWD): Provides superior traction for yards with large hills, wet spots, or uneven, muddy terrain.
Power: More powerful than a 196cc gas mower.
Runtime: Up to 75 minutes of run time.
Intended Use: Good for up to 3/4 acre of property.
Smart Features (Smart Trek): Automatically senses when it hits thick grass and instantly kicks up power, saving battery life for lighter cutting.
Cutting System: Utilizes the CrossCut multi-blade system (three-in-one cutting system) allowing for bagging, side discharge, and mulching.
Pricing:$799 (Kit, which includes two 40V 6Ah batteries and a charger).
Final Thoughts
Ryobi continues to constantly upgrade its outdoor power equipment, releasing new iterations almost annually, similar to a car manufacturer. This constant innovation is impressive and keeps the battery-powered line competitive as a true gas alternative.
The combination of lag-free performance in the string trimmers and the AWD/Smart Trek system in the flagship mower makes this lineup a serious contender for homeowners looking to ditch gasoline for good. The video host does issue a challenge to Ryobi, suggesting an upgrade to their existing 80V zero-turn rider mowers is needed to keep pace with the rest of the advancing line.

We recently put Ryobi's latest green machine to the test: the 4V Telescoping Power Scrubber Kit. This tool is clearly aimed at the DIY homeowner looking to tackle frustrating cleaning tasks without breaking their back—or the bank. Whether you're fighting mildew in the shower, scrubbing caked-on brake dust, or reaching high cobwebs, this lightweight, extendable tool promises to handle it all.
Here’s our complete breakdown of the kit, its performance, and whether it truly belongs in your tool arsenal.

Power, Charging, and Ergonomics
The first thing that caught our attention is the growing commitment to the 4V platform. This scrubber is powered by a 4V lithium 2Ah battery, which is surprisingly versatile and offers decent runtime for routine cleaning tasks.
Key Specs and Build Quality
Power Source: 4V USB-Lithium (2Ah battery included) keeps weight low for overhead work.
Universal Charging: Charges via standard USB-C — phone charger, laptop, or power bank. No proprietary brick.
Telescoping Reach: Twist-and-lock pole extends from 27" to 47" to reduce bending and ladder use.
Articulation: 180° pivoting head locks securely for corners, wheel wells, and eaves.
Speed Control: Two speeds — Low for maintenance/soft surfaces, Max for heavy grime.
Waterproof: IPX7 rating for full submersion scenarios.
The Brush Arsenal: Four Ways to Scrub
Ryobi didn’t skimp on accessories — you get four brush heads. Pick the right one so you don’t waste battery or damage surfaces.
With the medium green brush and the pole retracted, it becomes a high-powered hand scrubber. Rotation blasts soap scum and mildew, and the pivoting head digs into corners and behind fixtures better than hand scrubbing.
2) Exterior Vehicle Detailing
Using the telescoping handle and the medium brush, we cleaned oversized truck wheels without bending or kneeling. Plenty of torque to cut through brake dust and road grime, and the reach/pivot combination gets into wheel wells and spokes.
3) High-Reach Areas
At 47" with a 90° head angle, those under-eave splatters and roofline messes become a two-feet-on-the-ground job. Faster, safer, and way easier.
4) Durability & Submersion Test
Designed for wet environments, we tested the IPX7 claim by leaving the tool submerged for over 40 minutes. It kept running perfectly. The rubber sealing around the battery compartment is legit.
The Verdict: Who Is This For?
The Mobility-Challenged: If kneeling or bending is a problem, the adjustable handle is a lifesaver for baseboards, tubs, and patio surfaces.
Pool Owners: Excellent for scrubbing that stubborn green waterline on pools/spas without draining or awkward leaning.
Vehicle Detailers: A high-torque helper for wheels, truck beds, and tedious manual scrubbing.
What We Weren't a Fan Of
The brush attachment mechanism is friction-fit (no positive lock button). We never had a head pop out, but a click-lock would boost confidence for heavy pressure.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Ryobi 4V Telescoping Power Scrubber Kit is a smart, well-built addition to Ryobi’s cleaning line. It solves real-world headaches, the USB-C rechargeable 4V battery is super convenient, and the reach/pivot combo saves your back. For the price, it’s an easy recommendation for DIYers and homeowners.
This NEW Tiny Ryobi Tool is even MORE POWERFUL! 🔥 New 4V USB Lithium Lineup
Check out the video for all the juicy details and my full reaction!
If you're in or thinking about getting into the **Ryobi platform**, you're loving the past couple of months! They've really been releasing non-stop tool announcements, and today is no different. We're getting new additions to the incredibly popular **USB Lithium 4V line**—and one of them is a massive upgrade that you guys are going to want to grab ASAP.
The Star of the Show: USB Lithium 3-Port Charger and Power Source
We've talked about the older version of this power source before—it was mainly used for those heated seat cushions to keep your tushy warm during cold games. But this new **all-new USB Lithium 3-Port Charger and Power Source** is a huge step up, fixing the one major issue we had with the previous model.
The Key Upgrades:
**Three's the Magic Number:** It now holds **three 4V batteries** instead of just two. If you use those heated cushions, three batteries are finally going to last you the whole game! That's real nice [01:24].
**Charges the Batteries *in the Core*:** This is the biggest change. You can now charge your 4V batteries **right inside the case** using the USB-C port, and get this: it charges them **80% faster** than your standard charger [01:14]!
**Portable Powerhouse:** It still works as an awesome **portable charger** for your electronics like your cell phone, smartwatches, and more [00:46].
**Status Lights:** They also added **lights** to let you know how much charge you have remaining.
This upgraded powerhouse unit is going to run you **$59.97** [01:39]. I'm pretty excited about this one—it's going to come in handy for a lot of people!
New Tool Alert: USB Lithium Pruning Shear Kit
I love that Ryobi is consistently growing their **4V line** while other tool manufacturers ignore their smaller platforms [02:18]. This next tool is the **all-new USB Lithium Pruning Shear Kit**. It might be for smaller jobs around the house, but it definitely looks useful!
Pruner Specs:
**Price:** **$69.97** (let's just call it $70) [02:49].
**Cut Capacity:** You get a **3/8-inch cut capacity** [02:54].
**Runtime:** You’ll get up to **450 cuts per charge** with the included 2Ah battery [02:59].
**Weight:** It’s super light at just **1.23 lbs** [03:08].
Remember, a great feature of the 4V batteries is that you can charge them by plugging a **USB-C cord directly into the pack itself**—no special charger needed unless you want to charge multiple at once [03:27].
The Holiday Release: 4V Combo Kit
You’ll probably see this little combo kit popping up around the holidays. It’s a decent starter kit, priced at **$49.88** (we'll round up to $50) [03:41].
What’s in the Kit?
**Old-Style 2-Port Power Source:** This is the previous model. It will charge your electronics, but it only holds two batteries and **does not charge the batteries inside the case** [03:58].
**Batray Power Screwdriver:** I’ve done a video on this before. It has a **swivel head** and is perfect for putting together things like IKEA furniture [04:22].
**New 4V Flashlight:** This is a nice little flashlight putting out **150 lumens** with high and low brightness settings [04:47].
It also includes a **4V battery** and a **USB-C cable**.
While I'm not a big kit kind of person, if you need these tools, it might be a good deal for fifty bucks!
Final Thoughts
That **new 3-port battery core** is the clear winner here—I think that's going to be a must-have for a lot of people for portable power and charging their electronics [05:10]. As for the pruners, if you have smaller jobs around the house, they look like they could be very useful.
Are you excited about these new tools? Do you use Ryobi? **Let me know what you think in the comments!**
And if this breakdown helped you out in any way, please don't forget to **SMASH that like button**!
