RIDGID 18-Volt Octane Jig Saw Hits the Market, and we had a chance to review it! Here is what we think.

The New RIDGID OCTANE JIG SAW offers speed control, oscillation and quick release blade.

The all new RIDGID 18-Volt Octane Lithium-Ion Cordless Brushless Jig Saw just hit the market, but we were able to get our hands on this little beast way before many others could. We put it to the test just to see what it could handle, and what it couldn’t. Long story short, there was nothing is couldn’t handle.

The new Ridgid Gen5x Octane tools are cooler than we though! (New Ridgid Hyper Octane batteries and tools will keep you working longer)

Ridgid 18-Volt Cordless Lithium-Ion Brushless Reciprocating Saw Kit with (2) 4.0Ah Batteries and Charger Model# R864304SB    (Note: Only the saw in this kit is Octane, not the batteries)

Ridgid Power Tools have been advancing their line of tools and a very fast pace this past year, but they are looking to add something that will change the way you look at cordless tools. The new release of the brushless (OCTANE) reciprocating saw is the first of many tools to be released by TTI/Ridgid during the 2018 year. The all new GEN5X () saw is replacing their discontinued model (R8642N).
