Ridgid Portable Flip Top Work Support is like having a third hand

I was out in the shop one day cutting some wood on my miter and table saws when I said to myself " I need a third hand!" Every time I put a pass on my saw, the wood wood start sliding around and dipping over the edge once I got so far into the cut. I tried to avoid the roller bars in the past because I'm seriously running out of room.

First I went up to Harbor Freight to see what they had, but they were all sold out, so I drove over to the Home Depot to see what they had in stock. I was searching each isle over and over again, but I could not find any rollers. I went to the front desk to see if they had any in the back, but they were out as well.....reallllly? Was there a mad rush that day or something?

I was just about to head home, but figured I would do my typical store stroll when I seen this funny looking Ridgid table looking thing stuffed in the back of the rack.

I took it off the shelf and started playing around with it in the store, and said "I'ma try it!"

When I got it home, I seen that not only could you adjust the height, but the top could be adjusted to a 45 degree angle as well.

Another great featur is that you can adjust the vertical height from 27" up to 45" simply by turning losining the latch and pulling up or pushing down.

The legs are made of metal, and are solid. Once you open them up, they stay open, but Ridgid also added two hooks (one on wash side) to hang blocks to help weigh it down.

The top is made of a hard Polly plastic and feels heavy duty. The top also has a Carter pin located directly under it so you can lock it in place.

As for what we have used this for, it worked great at a third hand while ripping on the table and miter saws. If you have two of these, you had place wood on top a use them as a work bench, or even a surface to pain on.  It also came in very handy when trying to rip wood on a circular saw.

All around the Ridgid Flip Top Stand performed great. It was extreamly easy to set up and use for multiple applications, and barley took up any room when we put it away

You can check these out at the Home Depot link provided at the top right, and have that extra band in the garage when you need one.
