Home Depot will be bringing some very cool tools to their stores in 2019, and we got to see them. 2019 Home Depot Prospective Exhibit!

I'm sitting at the airport right now catching a flight back home to Ohio after spending a few days in Atlanta.  I attended the 2019 Home Depot Prospective event which gave an insight of some of the newest tools to hit the market in 2019. Below is a recap of what is coming to a Home Depot near you in 2019. All I can say is that I was truley amazed with some of the tools that were there, and battery technology has basically surpassed every expectation that we though it could just 5 years ago.

Dewalt:

New Atomic Compact: Dewalt has some awesome tools about to launch in 2019. The first thing we learned is that they will be releasing a new subcompact line of smaller tools that will rival the Makita line. We know that there will be reissues of some of their more popular drills and impacts such as the 887 and 885. The new line will be called "Atomic," and should be a nice addition to their regular lineup.

60 Volt Flex Volt Outdoor Power Tools: Some of the tools that I was most excited about was the new 60v Flexvolt weed eater and leaf blower.  They compared the 20v blow against the new 60 volt, and the difference in power was amazing.  The weed eater was light and powerful as well.

RIDGID

We have tones of reviews on the the RIDGID OCTANE tools on the TRZ YouTube Channel, but two of the tools that I was really excited about was the new cordless RIDGID 8 gallon Vacuum that takes two ridgid OCTANE batteries.  The batteries do not work in conjunction with each other  but instead add longer run time. You are looking at about an hour using two full charged 9.0Ah batteries.

The second, and very tool that will be coming out from RIDGID this year is the all new RIDGID OCTANE palm router.  It's small and easy to use, but tons of power. I loved the compact design, and the ease of use without the cord attached.

Outdoor Equipment That we loved:

Some of the really cool outdoor power equipment came from Ryobi this year. Their all new (fully battery powered) 52" zero turn mower was simply awesome.  It was extremely quiet for being a larger mower, and had tons of power.  They also had the multi attachment system that gives you the option to use the weed eater, edger, trimmer, chain saw or even a blower with a single system.

As for some of the best designed equipment, the TORO equipment was just awesome.  The 60V blower they are coming out with was probably the most impressive blowers that I have seen, and could probably only be rivaled by the new Dewalt Flexvolt model...we shall see.

The most impressive stuff from TORO though was the self propelled 60V push mower and the 60V Zero Turn mower. They are truly designed for comfort and ease of use. The engineering that went into the new mower's allow for not only the DIY user to enjoy yardwork, but even the professional that would use these tools on a daily basis.

They last mower we seen was the Makita 36v push mower. It takes two 18v batteries to power it, and does not come with a self propelled option. The frame was completely made if steel which was nice for durability, but runtime could be lessened because of the added weight.

During the even, by far the coolest stuff we seen came from EGO. Their new carbon fiber shaft was nearly indestructible as I was able to lay it across two beams and actually jump on it (I'm over 200 lbs). Not only that, but the outer casing of the EGO tools are EXTREMELY heavy duty. The reps were literally throwing the equipment 5 feet in the air and bouncing them off the ground with absolutely no issues at all. Not only that, but they have a self feeding weed eater line that gets sucked into the unit with a press of a button. No more fumbling around trying to install weed eater line, as anyone can do this now within seconds. I was truly impressed with everything I seen from them this year.

Other cool tools:

A few of the really nice products that we seen was from Mikwaukee that included their new mobile cart which (we have a full article on) and the new high output batteries that add 50%more power to your tools. They are basically smart batteries that will send more power to your tool when needed. This is a great feature to have when needing that extra push, and the smaller  batteries produce more power than the larger M18 units.

If you want to see all if the tools that were at the 2019 Home Depot Prospective Even this year, make sure you head over to the Tool Review Zone YouTube Channel as we have posted three separate live streams of the event for you all to see.
