Here is a list of some of the coolest tools that we looked at from The Home Depot in 2019

All tools were provided by the Home Depot Prospective Program for review purposes.

2019 has been a crazy awesome year for tools, and as always, The Home Depot always has them on the shelves. We had a chance to get out hands on most of the newest products of 2019, and here were some of our favorites!

Diablo:

1. Diablo 12 in. x 44-Teeth General Purpose Saw Blade (2-Pack)  When it comes to saw blades Diablo is our go to brand These blade will work on any 12" Miter Saw, and leaves extremely smooth cuts. We bounded these blades for over two week with treated 4x4 lumber, and they showed no sign of dullness and/or wear. They are trules great blades for an awesome price.

2. Diablo 7-1/4 in. x 36 TPI Wood and Metal Carbide Saw Blade All I can saw is WOW. Probably the best blades that I have ever used on a circular saw. Not only can these blades cut smooth, but they will blast through any gnarly peice of wood you put in front of them. We really wanted to test these blades out, so we put 22 framing nails (YES...22 of them!) in a 2x6 board and started up the saw. The blades literally cut through every single nail like they weren't even there. I truly could not believe how tough these Diablo Blades are. They are perfect for any demo work you may have, and the new #1 blade recommendation for the TRZ channel!

3. Diablo 7-1/4 in. x 48 TPI Cermet Steel Demon Ferrous Metal Cutting Saw Blade Just another awesome blade from Diablo. We abused the hell out of these blades, and they just kept going. We went through nail embedded lumber and straight up steel, and they performed great with everything. Though the Wood and metal blade is our new favorite, the Metal/steel blade is perfect for metal workers and fabricators.

Husky Tools:

1. Master SAE Ratcheting Wrench Set (16-Piece) Husky tools have come a long way. Their warranty is probably the best on the market as you don't even need a receipt to return a damaged tool. The 16 Piece Ratcheting Wrench Set is no different. That being said, with the way these are built, I doubt you will ever need the receipt anyway. The ratcheting system is extremely smooth and the over all feel is great. The only thing I would have liked to have seen is larger engravings, but all in all, it a pro set with a DIY price tag.

2. Heavy Duty 6 ft. Workbench Although it is a nice workbench, I had a few issues with this Husky 6ft workbench. The top is just a bit to soft for my liking. it was already dented badly from shipping, but even so, I found it to mark up a bit to easy if not gentle with it. The other issue I had was the SBU charging ports. Either one of them work, and even when trying to charge a cell phone, I could not get power to them. The four electrical outlets work great, but still a bummer. It was however extremely easy to get together as it had no assembly required. The legs just fold out underneath and need tightened now. It literally only took 10 minutes to get this thing up and running. If the top was not so soft, and the SBU ports worked, I would say it's definitely worth every penny, but I may have to pass on this one.

3. Heavy Duty Welded Steel Garage 5-Drawer Base Cabinet + Heavy Duty Caster Kit Although I was not a huge fan of the 6' workbench, I am a huge fan of this cabinet. Yes the top is a bit soft for my liking, but I use this to store all of my CNC equipment and bits. Tons of storage in a small area, and can be set on casters or placed under the 6' workbench for out of the way storage. The cabinet has a nice solid feel to it, and the soft close drawers are a nice touch. I really like it.

4. Husky Truck Box (soft sided storage) Here is another one from Husky that we really liked. Though its a soft case, it has a harder shell inserted in it to prevent it from collapsing. This Box has a lot of storage and is great for not only larger items, but pens and smaller gadgets as well. I first thought how nice this would be for a surveyor and Engineers. Definitely good enough to protect your items, but easy to bring with you to any job site.

5. Husky 200pc Master Socket Set Again, Husky wrenchers are my go to tools now, and this set stays true to the quality and craftsmanship that we have been seeing from them. This set does not come with a case, but is great for someone just starting out in the automotive field. For a low price, you get a bunch of sockets that will help get any job done. Not to mention, with the low price and lifetime warranty, this is the perfect set for someone just getting into the trades, but don't have a ton of money to spend.

6. Husky Black 3/8 in Drive 100P Stubby Ratchet If your looking to get into the Husky Tool Line, don't forget to pick up this stubby ratchet. What I really like about this i the hound point ratchet system that allows you to get into very tight spaces and work. There no play at all in this ratchet, and that really helps get jobs done in cramped areas without busting your knuckles. It a great addition to the set.

Gorrilla Mulit-Position ladder This is my new favorite. ladder. I have used many different multi-ladder, and I hated every single one of them except this one. To be honest with you, I didn't even want to review this ladder as I figured it would be heavy and hard to use like all the others...I was wrong. Super light at only 34lbs, it was extremely easy to handle myself. Even when extending it to full length I was able to adjust and maneuver this ladder without issue. Even the adjustments are very simple to make, and they really did a good job keeping your fingers safe when adjusting it. Everything about this ladder was well thought out, and it's not the first ladder I reach for when working at heights.

All in all, there were some really great products reviewed this quarter. There was only one (6' workbench) that I had some issues with, but still very impressed with all of these items. Check out the Tool Review Zone YouTube Site to see all of these tools at work!
