Makita has been expanding on their new brushless LET series, and this new grinder is one of the best on the market.



The new Makita 18-Volt 5.0Ah X2 LXT Lithium-Ion (36-Volt) Brushless Angle Grinder Kit is is one of those tools that every pro drools over the first time they see it.

It takes two..... yes two 5.0AH batteries at the same time to power this monster, and comes with a dual battery charger to ensure both batteries are ready to go when you need them. The kit also includes a 7"grinding wheel and cutting disk. Other attachments such as diamond cutting wheels for concrete and wire brushes for rust removal can be used.

You also have the choice often different guards which are also included in the kit. Not to mention the extremely nice storage bag that it comes with.

The casing is heavy duty, and will have no issues holding up to a tough days work, and the ergonomics of the grinder really me it easy to use. 

As for power, it's like nothing e have ever seen before on an angle grinder. The brushless motor puts out 8,500 rpm! As soon as you squeeze the handle, the monstrous motor unleashes it's energy to destroy anything in its path.

At a total weight if 13lbs, cutting through concrete was effortless, and the grinder never showed one sign of weakness.

Now, with that being said, this is far from a diy'er tool. Makita had the pros in mind when they designed this beast, even to the point that they added a welded metal roll cage to protect the batteries in case your dropped the bad boy. 

While running, you will need both 5.0AH batteries installed at the same time, but they offer a battery indicator light to warn you of low energy. The grinder also shuts itself of to protect itself from over heating if needed. 

Now, we will say that this is not your weekend warrior angle grinder. It comes with a hefty price tag of $399.00. That being said, there is no grinding, cutting or cutting applications this can't complete.
