The Makita 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Handheld Vacuum REVIEW (XLC02R1B)

Makita XLC02R1B
We had a chance to review the Makita LXT 18V handheld vacuum recently and all agree, this thing sucks! (But that s a good thing)

This product was provided by the Home Depot Prospective Program
When I first seen this vacuum, I remember thinking to myself "What in the heck could this little vacuum possibly do?" I mean seriously,  it only weighs 2.5 lbs, and it runs off of an 18 volt battery.

I got it home and opened the box. It came with a 2.0 Ah battery and charger, so I charged it up, and off I went.

I could care less about dust, I really wanted to see what this could do. I tossed a bunch of bokts, washers and nails on the floor and turned it on. As soon as I flipped the switch , I heard and felt thump, thump... thump, thump, thump.  Where the hell did all the bolts, nails and wagers go?

I stood there for a second kind of scratching my head and saying to myself , did this little vac really just suck those pieces up so easily ???

I literally could not believe what I just witnessed, so I decided to up the challenge. I had a bunch of thick grass clippings on my mower deck that have been setting there since the beginning of the year. Again I turned on the vacuum and felt my jaw drop. "Seriously!" Did I really just suck up those large clumps of grass!?!?

It was crazy. No matter what I put in front of this beast, it ate it up. It was hungry , it was mean and it was powerful.

I even let the wife try it, and she ws amazed with how well it cleaned out corner areas. It was extreamly easy for you to get the hard to reach places as it comes with some really nice extension. I'm 6' tall, and I don't even need to bend over while using this thing. Not to mention,  you can take the wand off and use it to clean your car. TALK ABOUT VERSATILE!

The holding cup is a bit on the small side and only holds 2.6 cups worth if debris, but don't forget that this is a "compact" model, so it is what it is.

This is by far my new favorite vacuum.  It's just so easy-to-use and has so much power.  Not only does this vacuum clean off the work bench , but anything and everything else you would want it to. Definitely check it out if you have the chance!
