New Tool Releases: Milwaukee Goes Pro, Ryobi Gets Practical
Covering new tool releases is kind of my thing around here. If you’ve been following the channel, you already know that. And this time around, we’ve got a solid mix — Milwaukee bringing serious jobsite power, and Ryobi quietly expanding into areas that make a lot of sense for everyday users.
Let’s start with Milwaukee, because that’s where the heavy hitters are.
Milwaukee M18 FUEL™ SDS Max: Built for Concrete Pros
Milwaukee rolled these out around World of Concrete, and now we’ve got the full press details. If you work in masonry, concrete, or heavy-duty drilling, this lineup is aimed directly at you.
Milwaukee is expanding their M18 FUEL™ SDS Max Rotary Hammer lineup with two new models, both designed to deliver corded-level performance without the hassle of cords.
M18 FUEL™ 1-9/16" SDS Max Rotary Hammer w/ ONE-KEY™
-
Launch: April 2026
-
MSRP (Kit): $949
-
Impact Energy: 6 ft-lbs
-
Weight: 14 lbs tool-only / 17 lbs with battery
This model is all about speed and portability. Milwaukee claims it can drill over 24 holes (7/8" x 6") per charge when paired with a FORGE™ HD12.0 battery, which is impressive for a cordless SDS Max.
M18 FUEL™ 1-3/4" SDS Max Rotary Hammer w/ ONE-KEY™
-
Launch: March 2026
-
MSRP (Kit): $1,199
-
Impact Energy: 11 ft-lbs
-
Weight: 17 lbs tool-only / 21 lbs with battery
This is the big one. Harder hitting, faster drilling, and clearly aimed at heavy chipping and demanding applications where corded tools used to be the only option.
Both tools feature:
-
POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor
-
REDLINK PLUS™ Intelligence
-
AUTOSTOP™ Enhanced Kickback Control
-
AVS Anti-Vibration System
-
VACLINK™ wireless dust control
-
ONE-KEY™ tracking and management
Pair either of these with a compatible dust extractor, and you’re not just drilling faster — you’re keeping silica dust in check and OSHA off your back.
Milwaukee M18™ Brushless Pipe Threading Oiler: Less Mess, More Productivity
Milwaukee is also announcing a Brushless Pipe Threading Oiler, launching in Q3 2026, and this one is all about workflow.
The steel frame mounts directly to a pipe vise, and the catch basin sits close to the threading point, providing 127 degrees of containment when paired with the proper setup. Translation: less oil everywhere, less cleanup, and less wasted time.
Key highlights:
-
Adjustable hose and flow rate for precise oil application
-
3-stage filtration system that separates chips from oil
-
Extended die life and improved thread quality
-
Self-contained basin for spill-free transport
When paired with Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL™ pipe threaders and tripod chain vise, this becomes a serious productivity upgrade for plumbers and mechanical trades.
PACKOUT™ Expands Again — And That’s a Good Thing
Milwaukee is also expanding their PACKOUT™ system in April 2026 with new tool box attachments and dividers.
This is the kind of release that doesn’t look flashy, but actually helps more people day to day. Magnetic trays, side-mounted storage, attachment-ready dividers — this is Milwaukee catching up to what other modular systems have been doing, and doing it in a way that integrates cleanly with PACKOUT.
Honestly, this kind of stuff gets me more excited than some five-figure tool setups, because it helps real users work faster and stay organized.
Ryobi Steps Outside the “DIY Only” Box
Now let’s switch gears to Ryobi.
Ryobi hasn’t been flooding the news lately, which is unusual for them, but these releases show they’re still paying attention — and expanding into areas that go beyond basic homeowner tools.
Ryobi 18V ONE+™ Cable Stapler
This one surprised me.
Ryobi is introducing an 18V cable stapler, and this isn’t something most casual DIYers need. This feels more aimed at handymen, installers, and light professional use.
-
Model: PCL336B
-
MSRP: $219 (tool-only)
-
Performance: 2× faster than manual stapling
-
Runtime: Up to 1,900 staples per charge
It supports 14–10 gauge NM-B, CAT3, CAT5, and coax cables, uses insulated cable staples, and includes an onboard LED. It’s not trying to be a full-blown commercial solution — but for someone who needs speed without breaking the bank, this actually makes sense.
Ryobi 18V ONE+ HP Brushless Hybrid 9" Oscillating Fan
And then there’s this — which I’ll admit, I love.
The Ryobi 9" Hybrid Oscillating Fan is part of their WHISPER SERIES™, meaning it’s their quiet, top-tier fan option.
-
Airflow: 1,200 CFM
-
Noise: 57 dBA on high
-
Oscillation: 120°
-
Power: 18V battery or extension cord
What really makes this stand out is the mounting flexibility. It can hang from 2x material, chain-link fencing, or mount to Ryobi’s LINK wall system.
If you’ve ever been stuck in a hot garage, on a jobsite, or even at a softball field trying to keep kids cool in a dugout — this thing suddenly makes a lot of sense.
Final Thoughts
Milwaukee continues to push hard into high-demand professional tools, focusing on power, control, and jobsite efficiency. Ryobi, on the other hand, is quietly filling gaps — offering tools that may not be ultra-heavy-duty, but solve real problems at a price that doesn’t hurt.
Different users. Different goals. Both moving in smart directions.
More tool coverage coming soon.
